June 22, 2014, my darling wife, Marcia, passed away after a battle with cancer. Since that time, I have been dealing with the loss of someone that I loved with all my heart and soul. The grief at times has been almost unbearable, but I have made it this far. This book will give you some indication of my grief, my emotions, as I have made this journey.
As I'm sure you noticed, this is a rather short read. But to be honest, I didn't write this little book in the hopes of selling thousands of copies, I wrote it for myself as a form of therapy. A dear friend convinced me to put it out here on , thinking that perhaps others were in my similar circumstances and would enjoy reading it.

I think we are all curious about what goes through the mind of a person who has lost their spouse, yet we are hesitant to ask. Well I bought this book and while I can't say I enjoyed it, because of the pain the author is going through, I am very glad I read it. It answered a lot of questions for me, not only for friends of mine who have gone through this, but also for myself, in case something this horrible should happen me. I wish the author well and have prayed for him. I am also glad that he has a brother who has gone through the same situation, and I can imagine their comradery means a lot to both of them. I highly recommend this book.Product details

She Gone But Never Forgotten My Life After the Death of My Wife edition by Fred Thornton Health Fitness Dieting eBooks Reviews
I thought this was a great way for Marcia to always be remembered. Thank you Fred for the decation and loving her like you did...
I lost my wife Carole 3 1/2 years ago to multiple sclerosis after seeing her deteriorate for 30 years. It left a great big hole in my life. I have been through the things that you described. People keep telling me that it gets easier. For me, I am in just as much pain today if not more. I wish you luck with the rest of your life, and hope you can find happiness again.
Interesting insight about grief. Short and to the point...I liked that.
Lost my wife a short while ago. Strange to read a story that said nothing new but was a great read. The real crux of the story is when men loose their wives we suffer, yet, each phase, thought, concern, worry, step forward is what all of us go through. There is no shame in grief. We all will pass through our loss and eventual recovery at our own pace; some shorter, some longer. Good read.
I promised Fred I would buy and review the book because I have had much experience with Hospice, death and loss. I admire Fred's courage to write his emotions and feelings, but wish he would have waited to publish this until next year or the year after that. He is still in the middle of the grief journey and has many miles to travel to peace and serenity.
He is right in that the bereaved are so vulnerable and raw that feelings are easily hurt. People don't mean to be unkind, they are simply aware of their own mortality and it scares them.
Write this again Fred, but tell me more about Carol so I can mourn her also.
